The compressor then injects pressure into the pipeline and this process generates heat. This gets dissipated from the gas before it leaves the facility. Some compressor stations are electric powered while the others are fueled with natural gas itself that flows through them.

Accurate and precise level of instrumentation is essential at every stage of natural gas production and transportation to ensure utmost safety. As a highly volatile substance, natural gas is prone to accidents through leaks. Level measurement hence ensures the liquid is separated from gas and that the heat is properly dissipated.
